The answers turned out to be interesting, often funny, and rarely as intimidating as art writing usually makes them sound. So the stories were written for someone curious rather than someone credentialed.

Fifteen hundred works later, it behaves like a museum: a collection, a point of view, and a guide who would rather you notice one thing than memorise ten.
